DR. NORSHAM JULIANA NORDIN
Norsham Juliana Nordin is a Senior Lecturer of Medical Physiology at Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia, Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia. Her other appointments include Editor of Me Books Asia for health related children ebooks, and the Editorial Board of SciFed Journal of Food and Dairy Research. She obtained her BBiomedSc (Hons), MMedSc (Internal Medicine) and PhD (Nutrition) from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia. Her special interest is in cardiophysiology, community nutrition and obesity. She is currently leading multiple projects in relation to her interest. Since 2009 until to date she collaborates with National Heart Institute of Malaysia to be part of the co-researcher in Diamond Study, a clinical trial involving coronary artery bypass grafting patient. Besides that, she deeply involves in applied research that directly benefitted the community. Multiple programmes such as series of ‘Pinggan Sihat Anakku’, ‘Food for Children’s Development’ and many more has been conducted to assure the knowledge gained in evidence-based studies being transferred to the society. Currently she teaches and supervises undergraduate and postgraduate students in USIM, UiTM and also UKM. She has published articles in journals, proceedings of scientific meetings (both national and international), authored books, and articles in the mainstream media.
